The Moeller Freshman traveled north to Defiance today. This was a match-up of Ohio's #1 Division 1 High School baseball program and Ohio's #1 Division 2 baseball program. 

The game started out a little sloppy on both team's part. Moeller scored in the top of the first inning when Charlie Valencic led off with a walk. Jovan Love and Jake Bell were hit by pitches and Valencic scored on a passed ball. 

Defiance came back in the bottom of the 1^st inning with 2 unearned runs due to some sloppy play by the Crusaders. But it was all Moeller from there. 

Logan Rosenberger held Defiance to 2 unearned runs in 2 hits, 1 walk, 1 hit batter and 6 strikeouts over the 5 inning game.

Moeller got rolling in the top of the 2^nd inning. With 1 out, Griffin Booth walked, Logan Rosenberger singled and Charlie Valencic walked to load the bases.

Jovan Love singled to score Booth and Rosey which set up Eric Fleetwoods double over the left fielder's head to score Valencic and Love. However, it was the 3^rd inning that sealed the deal. 

Joey Watts walked, Jackson Porta reached on an E9. Griffin Booth dropped a perfect bunt, Valencic singled and walks by Carter Christenson and Love set up Big E's, Eric Fleetwood's bases clearing triple, to put the Crusaders up 10-2. 

The final 2 runs were scored on a Porta single, Rosenberger triple and Love ground ball to short. 

The Moeller record goes to 18-0 and a GCL Championship record of 8-0.
