The 2025 Moeller freshman baseball team made it a clean sweep of the 2025 season by defeating the CHCA Eagles 10-9.
The Eagles did not make it easy on Moeller as they came back from a 9-1 deficit to tie the game 9-9 in the top of the 7th inning.
Moeller scored 3 in the bottom of the 1st inning with 1 out,
Seth Maybury singled and advanced to 2nd on a passed ball.
Caleb Williams doubled to drive in Maybury and
Alex Madrigal doubled to send Williams home.
Carson Tabler then drove Madrigal home with a base hit.
The Crusaders scored 5 more runs in the 4th inning and 1 in the 6th inning to go up 9-1.
CHCA posted 6 hits and 3 walks in the top of 9th inning to tie the game at 9. The Crusaders were not to be denied.
In the bottom of the 9th inning,
Alex Madrigal led off with a walk and stole 2nd base.
He advanced to 3td of a
Carson Tabler fly ball to centerfield.
The Eagles then intentionally walked
Jon Sommers and Justin Whitney to load the bases.
Cooper Pratt singled sending Madrigal home with the winning run.
Rudy Glotfelty started the game and pitched 3 shutout innings,
Jon Sommers and
Eli Singer followed.
Cooper Berlin enters with bases loaded to shut the rally down and pick up the win.
The Moeller Freshman end the perfect season with a 26-0 season record, 4-0 pre-season record for an overall record of 30-0.
