Our Moeller freshman completed the sweep of the GCL last night by downing the Elder Panthers 10-0 in 6 innings.
Jirah Garnica and
Eli Singer each pitched 3 innings to shut the Panthers out only allowing 4 hits total.
Garnica allowed 3 hits on 2 walks and 2 strikeouts, while Singer gave up 1 hit, 3 walks and 4 strikeouts.
After going up 2-0 in the 1st inning, Moeller tacked on 3 more runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning, all with 2 outs.
Cooper Pratt tripled, Eli Duinkerk walked and
Seth Maybury drilled the 2nd triple of the inning to score Pratt and Duinkerk.
Maybury scored when
Caleb Williams reached on an error. The Crusaders posted 5 more runs in the bottom of the 6th inning.
Cameron Feichtner led off the inning by getting hit by the pitch.
Cooper Pratt walked and Eli Duinkerk walked to load the bases.
Jon Sommers then drilled the Crusaders 3 rd triple of the game to clear the bases.
Brad Wilson walked as did
Brayden Hube.
Matt Hamilton walked and
Carson Tabler banged out a single to give the Moeller Crusaders a walk off win.
The Moeller freshman overall record is 17-0 and 9-0 to sweep the GCL this year.
