The Moeller Freshman suffered their 1^st loss of the year today at the Vandailia Sports Complex vs. Butler High School.  

It was the usually great defense that was the Moeller downfall today. Moeller committed 4 errors in the bottom of the 4^th inning and Butler capitalized to score 5 unearned runs and a lead that could not be overcome. 

Finn O'Keefe pitched good enough to pitch 4 innings and the 5 runs that scored were all unearned. He did not walk a batter and struck out 4 batters. 

Ethan Childs pitched the last 2 innings allowing 1 earned run on 1 hit, 2 walks, and 2 strikeouts.  

The Butler pitcher held the Crusaders to only 3 hits, by Conner Scoggins, Jovan Love, and Logan Rosenberg. 

The Moeller Freshman record now stands at 22-1 and a GCL Championship record of 8-0.
