The Crusaders played their first GCL road game today taking on the LaSalle Lancers at Bi-Centennial Park.Â
It did not take the Frosh long to get on the scoreboard. Third baseman
Charlie Valencic led off the game driving a ball to the right-center field gap for a triple.Â
Carter Christenson grounded out to short to score Valencic.
Jovan Love then cracked Moeller's 2
nd triple of the inning and came home on
Eric Fleetwood's base hit.
Jake Bell was hit by the pitch. With 2 outs
Connor Scoggins drove in Fleetwood and Bell with the 1
st of his 3 base hits in the game.Â
Moeller put 2 more on the scoreboard in the 2
nd inning and another 4 in the 3
rd inning.Â
In the top of the 5
th inning,
Finn O'Keefe led off the inning with a walk.
Connor Fuhrer reached on an error by the right fielder.
Owen Holland pinch hit for
Tucker Wilburn and lined a single to right to load the bases.Â
The final 2 runs were sent home by a
Brody Foltz base hit.
Logan Rosenberger was money on the mound tossing the 5 inning shutout. He allowed only 4 hits, no walks, and 7 strikeouts.Â
The Moeller record goes to 4-0 and 2-0 in the GCL.
