La Salle gave the Freshman all they could handle today. Moeller scored first in the top of the 1
st inning,
Carter Christenson singled and stole second base.
Jovan Love walked and
Eric Fleetwood shot a laser ground ball down the left field line to score Christenson.
La Salle tied the game up in the bottom of the 3
rd inning scoring on a unearned run.
Joey Watts led off the 4
th inning with a base hit, the 1
st of 2 hits on the day.
Griffin Booth and
Tucker Wilburn walked to load the bases. Booth scored when
Charlie Valencic reached on an E5 and Wilburn scored on Christenson" fielders choice.
Our 4
th and final run was tallied from a
Shane Duke walk, a sac bunt by
Jake Bell and a
Griffin Booth base hit.
Carter Christenson was the starting pitcher throwing 5 innings, giving up 2 runs, 1 earned, 2 hits, 1 walk and 7 strikeouts to pick up the win.
Joey Watts tossed the final 2 innings, 1 hit and 2 walks go get the save.
The Moeller Freshman record goes to 13-0 and 7-0 to lead the GCL!
