Recap: Ron Roth

The Moeller Freshman complete the sweep of the St. Xavier Bombers today on Crosley Field at the Blue Ash Sports Complex posting a 10-1 score. 

Moeller scored 1^st when Carter Christenson singled in the first inning and advanced to 3^rd base on 2 wild pitches. Carter then scored when Eric Fleetwood was advancing to 1^st on a dropped 3^rd strike. 

In the 3^rd inning Charlie Valencic leadoff the inning with a walk and then stole second. Jovan Love also walked and stole second after the passed ball to put Valencic on 3^rd. 

Jake Bell then tallied a base hit to right to score Valencic and Love. Conner Scoggins walked and Griffin Booth doubled to left to score Bell and Scoggins to put the Crusaders up 5-0. 

It wasn't until the 7^th inning that Moeller scored another 5 runs to put the game away. 

Hitting leaders for Moeller were: Griffin Booth and Logan Rosenberger who each had 2 hits including doubles and Jovan Love who tallied a base, but more important threw out a runner at home form center field to end an inning. 

Carter Christenson pitched the first 5 innings to pick up the win. He allowed the Bombers 2 hits, 2 walks and 7 strikeouts.  

Joey Watts closed the game tossing 2 innings, 3 hits, 1 walk, and 2 strikeouts.  

The Moeller Freshman record reaches 10-0 and 5-0 to lead the GCL!
