The Moeller Freshman opened GCL play today at the Blue Ash Sports Complex with
Logan Rosenberger and
Carter Christenson combining to toss a no-hitter vs the St. Xavier Bombers.
Rosie pitched 4.1 innings with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts. Carter tossed the last 2.2 innings with 1 walk and striking out the last 5 of the last 6 batters he faced.
The Moeller offense tallied 6 runs in the bottom of the 2
nd inning.
Jake Bell led off the inning with a walk. With 1 out,
Cooper Ridley singled as did
Griffin Booth and
Logan Rosenberger.
Charlie Valencic grounded into a fielder's choice to score Booth.
Carter Christenson singled,
Jovan Love walked, and
Eric Fleetwood reached on an error.
Bell was hit by the pitch and Matt Fogler walked to round out the Moeller 6 run inning.
The Crusaders added 3 more runs in the 6
th inning.
Griffin Booth banged out 2 hits and
Alex Mattingly also collected a hit in the Moeller victory.
The Moeller Freshman record goes to 2-0 and 1-0 in the GCL.
