The Fighting Crusaders improve to 1-1 on the year as they secure their first win over the Olentangy Berlin Bears!
Most of the game was a defensive struggle, with starting pitcher Tony H. '23 holding the Bears to just one run during his stint on the mound, scored in the top of the third.
In the bottom of the fourth, down 1, Clay B. '23 was able to put the ball in play with an RBI single that put the Crusaders on the board and tied the game 1-1 going into the fifth inning.
The bats came alive for the Crusaders In the bottom of the 6th, where Moeller was able to put up six total runs on the board including a 2-run home run by CJ R. '23, his first of the year, to give the Crusaders a 7-1 lead heading into the final frame.
The Bears wouldn't go down easy, putting up three runs in the top of the 7th but the Crusaders defense held on to give Moeller Baseball it's first win of the 2021 season 7-4 over Berlin.
