Let's Go Big Moe

5/28 - Moeller Baseball District Championship vs. Little Miami!

2026 OHSAA DISTRICT CHAMPIONS!!!

FINAL SCORE:

#18 LITTLE MIAMI  2
#2 MOELLER  5

Matt Ponatoski got the start for Big Moe going 5 innings before being relived by the combo of Cooper Homoelle and Jake Gaerke

The three combined to hold Little Miami to just 2 runs on 5 hits which was enough of a cushion for the bats to start working.

On offense, the Crusaders started slow but found some magic in the bottom of the 6th scoring 3 runs to close out the Panthers.

Reggie Watson delivered the play of the game on offense with a big time clutch 2RBI double in that 6th inning.

On the mound, Cooper Homoelle had the play of the game catching a line drive back at the pitcher, turning it into a double play.

Congratulations to Coach Held, the players, and his entire staff on yet another District Championship... but we're not finished.

Moeller will face Grove City in the Regional Semifinal on Tuesday, June 2 at 2pm at Wright State University.

It will be the 4th ever match up between the two teams, the first since their doubleheader in 2017, and their first postseason meeting since 2012.
