6/2 - 6/3 2026 OHSAA Regional Championship at Wright State University!
Moeller dominated the regional tournament this week at Wright State.
The Crusaders outscored their opponents 15-0 the past two days.

Junior
Nathan McDowell was dominant on the mound for the Crusaders on Tuesday.Â
McDowell went a complete game shut out, only giving up 5 hits and striking out 9.Â
The junior faced some trouble in the first but never looked back after that cruising to the finish line.Â
Moeller's bats were working early in this one, Big Moe scored in each of the first 3 innings.Â
They led 3-0 for most of the way until,the game broke open late with the Crusaders scoring 5 in the 6th.
With the win, Big Moe advanced to Wednesday's Regional Championship against #1 Centerville.Â

This is the 14th Regional title in program history and the first since 2023.
Senior
Matt Ponatoski got the ball in this one with the Crusaders season on the line.Â
Ponatoski was excellent in his 5 innings of work, giving up just 2 hits, 0 runs, and striking out 8.Â
The senior right hander was filling up the zone, fast ball was sitting at 92-96 through most of the day.
Moeller led 2-0 after senior
Teagan Cumberland had a clutch two-out, two-run single to left on a 2-2 count.Â
This gave the Crusaders an early 2-0 lead and they would not look back from there.
Big Moe held on to that 2-0 lead until the 6th when they added 5 more runs to officially close this regional out.Â
Moeller (24-6) advances to play the Region 1 champion (Perrysburg or Massillon Jackson) in a Division I state semifinal
The state semifinals are set for 4 p.m. June 11 at 7 17 Credit Union Park in Akron. SEE YOU IN AKRON!Â
