FINAL SCORE:
MOELLER  5   ELDER  3

The Moeller Crusaders bounced back into GCL action downing the Elder Panthers at Blue Ash Sports Complex in a come from behind win 5-3. 

The game was called after 5 innings due to lightening and rain. Moeller scored first in the bottom on inning one. 

With 1 out, Owen Cornett lined a single to right field and stole second base. 

With 2 outs KJ Thomas singled to drive Cornett home. Moeller up 1-0. 

Elder answered in the top of the 2^nd inning to tie the game. Moeller had an answer in the bottom of the inning. 

Connor Bitler walked, stole second and moved to third on a wild pitch. Tyler Richardson singled home Bitler. 

Elder had an answer in the top of the 4^th inning scoring 2 runs to go up 3-2 with the rain and lightening on the way.  

But the never say die Crusaders had an answer. Matthew McQueary leads off the bottom of 5^th inning with a base hit. 

Rocco Vitucci walks and Owen Cornett reaches on a sac bunt/fielder's choice. 

McQueary was thrown out at the plate trying to score on a wild pitch. 

Joshua Codner walks as does KJ Thomas to send Vitucci home to tie the score at 3. 

Matthew Clarke singles to score Cornett and Andy Bennett hit a sacrifice fly to score Codner. Moeller up 5-3 when game called.

Moeller pitching duties were done by Finn Barhorst going 3.1 innings giving up 2 runs, 1 of which was earned in 2 hits, 3 walks and 2 strikeouts.  

Greyson Homoelle picked up the win pitching 2 innings, 1 hit, 1 walk, and 2 strikeouts.  

The Moeller Freshman record goes to 10-3 overall and 4-2 in the GCL.
