The Moeller Freshman traveled 3 hours north to take on the Defiance Bulldogs today and it was the pitching of Connor Bitler that took center stage.  

Conner pitched an 7 inning complete game allowing only 1 run on 1 hit in the 4^th inning, with no walks and 7 strikeouts to pick up the win. 

Moeller scored 1 run in the 3^rd inning. Tyler Richardson reached base on an E4, Matthew McQueary bunted him to second, Rocco Vitucci walked and with 2 outs,

Joshua Codner singled to score Richardson. In the top of the 5^th inning, with 1 out, Vitucci walked, Owen Cornett lined out to right for the 2^nd out. 

Vitucci stole second, Codner and Andy Bennett both singled and the Crusaders are up 3-1. 

The Moeller Freshman overall season record goes to 15-4 and 7-2 in the GCL.

In the first game of a doubleheader in Bryan, Ohio, the Moeller Freshman took on the Bryan JV team.  

Moeller scored first in the 5^th inning on a walk by Max Valencic, Grant McCullough was hit by the pitch, and a base hit by Rocco Vitucci. 

They scored 2 more runs in the next inning. A walk by Joshua Codner, base hit by Greyson Homoelle, Ryan Domingo to drive in Codner.

A double from Owen Cornett to send Homoelle and Domingo home with Moeller's third and fourth runs. 

In the 7^th inning, the Crusaders plated 2 more runs on a hit from Joshua Codner, walk from Homoelle, hit by Henry Tincher, his 2^nd of the game, and a walk by Domingo. 

Grant McCullough started the game on the mound and pitched 4.1 innings and Owen Cornett tossed the last 1.2 innings.  

The Moeller Freshman record stands at 15-5 and 7-2 in the GCL.

In the nightcap of today's doubleheader the Crusaders put on an offensive show with their bats. 

The 1^st inning set the tone for the game. Matthew McQueary leads off with a hit, a walk to Greyson Homoelle and an rbi single from Connor Bitler plates the 1^st run. 

With 1 out, Matthew Clarke singles to drive in Homoelle and Bitler. Christopher Reed steps up and lines a double to right centerfield to score Clarke. 

Moe is up 4-0 and does not look back. Hitting leaders in today's game were Matthew McQueary 2 for 2 including a double, a walk, and 3 runs scored. 

Christopher Reed was 2 for 3 including a double and hit by pitched, Connor Bitler 2 for 3, 2 rbis. 

Others collecting hits were Greyson Homoelle with 1 hit, 3 walks and a sac fly, Max Valencic, a double. Jayden Closser, Finn Barhorst also had hits. 

The pitching chores were handled by Patrick McDonald, 3 innings to pick up the win, Carson Fridley and Henry Tincher each tossed an inning.   

The Moeller record stands at 16-5 and 7-2 in the GCL.
