The Moeller Crusaders opened up GCL South play today with a 5-2 victory over the Elder Panthers at Cheviot Fieldhouse. 

It did not take the Frosh long to get things started. Reggie Watson III led off the game with a walk. With 2 outs, Ricky Maschinot singled followed by a Maddox Nelson single to drive home Watson and Maschinot to send Big Moe up 2-0. 

Elder answered in the bottom of the inning with a run to send the score to 2-1.

Moeller scored 2 more runs in the top of the 4^th inning. Watson led off with a single, stole 2^nd, Ronnie Allen walked and Nelson drove in 2 more runs to send the Crusaders up 4-1.  

Moeller and Elder each added 1 more run to make the final score 5-2. 

Carson Fuhrer started the game and collected the win pitching 3 innings allowing 1 run, 1 hit while walking 6 and striking out 2.  

Ronnie Allen closed the last 4 innings also allowing 1 run on 2 hits, 3 walks and 9 big strikeouts.  

The Moeller Freshman record moves to (3-0) overall and (1-0) in the GCL South.
