The Moeller Freshman team took on the Ryle Raiders from Northern Kentucky at the Blue Ash Sports Center yesterday.
The Frosh recorded their 2
nd run rule game in as many games with a 10-0 performance.
Zac Wittenauer tossed the first 4 innings allowing no runs on 1 hit, walking 2 with 1 strikeout and 2 walks.
CJ Gilpin pitched the 5
th inning to close out the game facing the last 4 batters while striking out 3 of them.
Moeller started the scoring early, posting 4 runs in the bottom of the 1
st inning.
Reggie Watson III led off with a line drive base hit.
Zac Wittenauer walked,
Ronnie Allen,
Ricky Maschinot, and
Connor Maupin had back to back to back singles to send the Crusaders up 4-0.
Watson had 2 hits as did Maschinot who also had a triple.
Carter Matthews also collected a base hit double in the 5 inning.
The Moeller Freshman record jumps to (2-0) on the season.
