Moeller knocked in five runs in the first on its way to a 7-1 victory over Hilliard Darby on Saturday. The offensive onslaught by the Crusaders was led by
Nathan Manley,
Charlie Niehaus, and
Conlan Daniel, who all drove in runs.
The Crusaders got on the board in the first inning when Manley doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.
Kellan Klosterman was on the mound for the Crusaders. Klosterman lasted five innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out eight and walking one.
Luke Cannon was on the hill for Hilliard Darby. The hurler surrendered six runs on five hits over three innings, striking out two. Andrew Brown and Drew Niedeffer entered the game as relief, throwing two innings and one inning respectively.
Moeller tallied eight hits on the day. Manley,
Luke Pappano, and
Toby Hueber all managed multiple hits for the Crusaders. Hueber, Pappano, and Manley each managed two hits to lead Moeller.
