After starting their spring break trip to Las Vegas, Nevada (0-2), the Crusaders were able to bounce back today vs Juan Diego Catholic.

Moeller scored six runs in the sixth on its way to a 10-1 victory over Juan Diego Catholic on Wednesday. The Crusaders batters contributing to the big inning included
Toby Hueber,
Clay Burdette,
Will McCullough, and
Hanleigh Lopez, all knocking in runs in the inning.
In the first inning, Moeller got their offense started when Burdette doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
The Crusaders put up six runs in the sixth inning. The big inning was thanks to a triple by McCullough, a single by Lopez, by Burdette, and an error on a ball put in play by Hueber.
Luke Pappano was the winning pitcher for the Crusaders. The hurler surrendered one run on five hits over six innings, striking out 13 and walking one.
Zion Theophilus threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Andrew Lombana took the loss for Juan Diego Catholic. The lefty allowed four hits and three runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out five.
Moeller racked up ten hits in the game.
Finn Ellis and Burdette each managed multiple hits for the Crusaders. Ellis went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Moeller in hits. Moeller didn't commit a single error in the field. Ellis had the most chances in the field with 16.
CJ Richard led the Crusaders with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with ten stolen bases.
Moeller will look to finish their trip to the 2023 All Faiths Classic at Bishop Gorman High School strong tomorrow in their final game of the tournament.
Leaving (2-2) after starting (0-2) would be a great momentum shift for Big Moe as the return home for some important games.
The Crusaders return home this weekend, and will be back in action at Kremchek Stadium for some GCL South baseball on Monday, April 10.
Moeller welcomes the Elder Panthers to Kremchek Stadium for what is shaping up to be a super exciting Monday afternoon matchup.
