Luke Pappano didn't allow a single run against Talawanda, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Moeller to a 10-0 victory on Thursday.
The Crusaders got things moving in the first inning, when
Nolan Krekeler tripled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.
Moeller notched four runs in the sixth inning.
Carter Christenson,
Charlie Niehaus, Krekeler, and
Connor Christenson each had RBIs in the frame.
One bright spot for Talawanda was a single by Eddie Tanner in the fourth inning.
Pappano pitched the Crusaders to victory. The fireballer allowed one hit and zero runs over six innings, striking out seven and walking one.
Moeller racked up ten hits in the game.
Max Gildea,
CJ Richard, and Krekeler each had multiple hits for the Crusaders.
Krekeler, Richard, and Gildea each collected two hits to lead Moeller. The Crusaders were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.
Krekeler had the most chances in the field with nine. Moeller tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases.
Will McCullough led the way with two.
Moeller improves to (9-2) this season, (3-0) in the GCL South.
