Moeller defeated Indian Hill 7-0 on Saturday as four pitchers combined to throw a shutout.
Carson Marsh struck out Abe Hayes to finish off the game.
The Crusaders got things moving in the first inning. Moeller scored two runs when
Nate Earley homered.
Moeller tallied three runs in the second inning.
CJ Richard and Earley each drove in runs during the inning.
One bright spot for Indian Hill was a triple by Jonathan Copher in the fourth inning.
Zion Theophilus pitched the Crusaders to victory. Theophilus allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out four and walking zero. Marsh,
Nate Gaerke, and
Ryan Benne all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.
Copher took the loss for Indian Hill. Copher lasted one and one-third innings, allowing four hits and five runs while striking out one.
Moeller tallied three home runs on the day. Richard went deep in the second inning. Earley went yard in the first and second innings.
Earley led the Crusaders with two hits in three at bats. Moeller was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.
Finn Ellis had the most chances in the field with six.
Moeller finishes the regular season (25-2), (8-1) in the GCL South!
