Big Moe Baseball kicked off the 2022 season yesterday with the first ever game played at new Kremchek Stadium!
The guys were able to break in the new home turf with a W, handing Gross Pointe South a 10-1 defeat.
The Crusaders were leading 4-1 in the bottom of the 6th inning when the bats really got going for Moeller.
Moeller scored their final 6 runs of the game all in the bottom of the 6th inning.
After a couple of walks, and back to back base hits the Crusaders really started to pour it on.
They were able to close out Gross Pointe in the top of the 7th, marking the end of the first ever game played at Kremchek Stadium.
Now, the Crusaders must turn their attention to a very talented St. Xavier squad.
The Bombers come into this matchup 1-0 on the season, same as Big Moe.
St. X took care of Dublin Jerome in their season opener with an impressive 9-3 victory.
X has a great combination of power hitting and solid pitching. This rivalry game should be come down to who is more disciplined and plays their style of game.
Anytime Moeller plays St. X its extra special. However, today its even more special with the game being at the new Bucher Athletic Complex!
