MOELLER 12 CENTERVILLE 2
 
The Junior Varsity banged out 13 hits five of which were for extra bases in scoring 12 runs in a five inning 12-2 win over the Centerville Elks at The Schuler Sports Complex.
 
Moeller jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in the first inning taking advantage of three straight walks by the Elks starting pitcher. The Crusaders increased their lead to 7-0 in the second with Zach French (3B), Andrew Boudreau (2B) and Andrew Lang (RF) all collecting RBI base hits.
 
Three more runs were added to the lead in the third when Cole Rieman (CF), Max Steffen (C) and French came up with RBI hits. The JVs finished their scoring in the fifth with two more runs to make the final score 12-2. Pinch hitter Nijel Davis led the inning off with a single to left and Aidan Noyes (SS) blasted a long triple to right center for an RBI and came home on an over throw at third base.
 
Starting and winning pitcher Michael Ramsey (RHP) and reliever Jake Zicka (LHP) combined to limit the Elks to three hits while striking out five. They were supported by the Crusaders defense that played errorless ball.
 
Moeller is at St. Xavier Wednesday for a 5:00 game and wrap up the season with a double-header v Lebanon at the Blue Ash Sports Complex with the first game starting at 9:30. Their season record is 17-5 and 7-1 in the GCL South (league Champs)
