Moeller Football falls to (5-2), (2-1) in the GCL South!
Big Moe came up just short Friday night at The Pit in their pursuit for another GCL South Championship.

Moeller drops to (5-2), (2-1) in the GCL South after failing to conquer Elder at The Pit this past Friday night.

Matt Ponatoski gave it everything he could on the road in a very tough environment.
Ponatoski finished the night going 17-25 for 219 yards and 2 touchdowns, however he was sacked 4 times.
On the ground, the Crusaders were only able to total 52 yards rushing, which is a season low for this offense.
Cooper McCutchan and
Reggie Watson led the way through the air for the Crusaders totaling 133 yards and 2 touchdowns.
The Panthers held Big Moe to a season low in points and under 300 yards of total offense.
You have to give this Elder defense lots of cedit for a slowing down a very explosive Moeller offense.
On defense, The Crusaders hung in there against a very dynamic quarterback for the Panthers.

Ricardo Harris was all over the field for Big Moe with 8 tackles and 3 sacks.
Big Moe totaled 7 tackles for loss against the Panthers and at times dominated the line of scrimmage.

Grant Emery led the team in tackles finishing with 9 total, 4 solo, and a fumble recovery.
The "Havoc Mob" kept Big Moe in the game all night long but in the end it just wasn't enough.
The Crusaders will look to bounce back this week on
SENIOR NIGHT against St. Ignatius.
Moeller vs. Cleveland St. Igantius is this Friday, October 10 at Mount St. Joseph University.
