Midwest and Trinity Invitational Results….Week Five Update!

In an uber competitive meet featuring elite teams from across the Midwest USA, the Crusader Cross Country Gold Squad finished 17^th out of 42 teams with 545 points in the Trinity/Valkyrie Invitational at Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday, September 21, 2024.   
 
In addition, earlier that same morning, the Crusader Blue Squad finished 7^th of 8 teams with 191 points at the Midwest Catholic Championship at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course on the campus of Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio.

For the Gold Squad, Junior Preston Wesley was Moeller's top finisher in 69^th place (out of 352 runners) in at time of 16:07. Also scoring: Junior Brock Grubert (71^st – 16:07), Junior Owen Speed (74^th – 16:08), Junior Zachary Lazor (175^th – 17:04), and Freshman Paul Eckstein (268^th – 17:59). Rounding out Varsity were Carson Todd, Duncan Shirley, Jake Jankowski, Steven Schuette, and Murphy Maynes. 


 
For the Blue Squad, Freshman Hayden Sorg crossed the line first for Moeller in 46^th place (out of 263 runners) in a time of 18:40. Scoring for the blue squad: Freshman Andrew Angeles (71^st – 19:12), Senior Garrett Keller (77^th – 19:21), Junior Keegan Hantak (93^rd – 19:42), and Senior Jacob Scott (94^th – 19:42).

The team returns to racing on Saturday, September, 28th, 2024 running at the Jim Murray Invitational at Champions Park in Springfield, Ohio. Varsity race time is currently set at 9:40am.
