Recap:
The Moeller Freshman traveled to Cheviot Field house today to take on the Elder Panthers in a GCL game.
Unfortunately, a lack of timely hitting, some fielding errors and walks, enabled the Panthers to come away with the win.
Moeller scored it's first run in the 3
rd inning when
Camden Broadnax reached base on an error, stole 2
nd base,
Kayde Ridley walked and
Landen Adams doubled down the left field line to score Broadnax to tie the game at 1-1.
Elder scored 3 more runs in the bottom of the 4
th inning to go up 4-1. Moeller answered in the top of the 5
th inning. With 1 out,
Aidan Sullivan singled, back to back walks by
Landen Adams and
Tyler Zimmerman loaded the bases.
Jake Gaerke was hit by the pitch to score Sullivan and
Teagan Cumberland hit a sac fly to score Adams. That ended the Crusaders scoring for the day. Elder added 3 more runs to end the game with a score of 7-3.
Tyler Zimmerman banged out 2 hits on the day with
Alex Lott collecting a hit as well.
Josh Adelsperger started the game on the mound pitching 3.2 innings with
Jack Ujvagi tossing the final 2.1 innings.
The Moeller record is (12-3) and (3-3) in the GCL South.
