Archbishop Moeller High School is proud to announce the 2022 recipients of the Brother Choquette Award!

2022 Brother Choquette Award Recipients:

Receiving the Brother Choquette Award for outstanding Moeller assistant coaches are the following.....

John Parker - John Parker is a legend at Moeller High School. From teaching in the classroom to coaching on and off the field, Parker has been recognized by multiple Moeller alumni as a highly influential coach and teacher who left a long-term impact on their lives. Parker, who was Moeller wrestling's head coach and a football assistant coach, was called to serve at Moeller for many years. During his time at Moeller, not only did he coach two extremely intense sports, but he also was a teacher in the classroom. John moved on from Moeller to follow his dream of coaching at the collegiate level. After his years at the University of Cincinnati, John started with Mariemont City Schools, in 1980. John attributes his success as a coach to his wife Gail who told him to "follow your dream".

Scott Sweeney '00 - Scott had a big impact on Moeller golf as both a player and a coach. He played on two GCL championship teams and captained the 1999 GCL champions. He coached for ten years, starting in 2004 through 2014. He played a major role in helping to build the 2014 State Championship team as he was instrumental in helping to develop talent on the junior varsity team in the years prior. Scott's strength was being able to identify talent in young players, a reflection of his own playing experience. He was dedicated to working with players to assist their development. He was also a great role model for junior varsity players as he conducted himself with great dignity and integrity.

"These men embody the spirit of Moeller athletics," said Justin Bayer, Moeller athletic director. "They were role models both on and off the field during their time at Moeller, and have continued to be leaders and all-around good men. We are honored to call them Men of Moeller."

Congratulations to both of these remarkable Men of Moeller! Thank you for your service!
