2026 National Signing Day at Big Moe!!! 

BIG congratulations to our 14 Men of Moeller on signing to become college athletes.

FOURTEEN MEN OF MOELLER SIGN TO BECOME COLLEGE ATHLETES!!!
(CINCINNATI, OHIO, April 28, 2026) On April 28, 2026, fourteen Archbishop Moeller High School student athletes will sign a commitment to play sports at the college level. Meet the athletes:


Elvis Arvay of Cincinnati will sign to play volleyball as a outside hitter under Coach John Spinney at Mount Saint Joseph University. Elvis participates with Little Buddies and earned first honors his senior year.

Athan Bridges of Cincinnati will be playing rugby in the flanker and lock positions under Coach Wesley Seay at Xavier University. Athan earned first honors all four years of high school and has a 3.94 cumulative GPA.

Teagan Cumberland of Milford will sign to play baseball as a utility player under Coach Cole Shaffer at Thomas More University. In addition to baseball, Teagan also played football all four years of high school. He participates in Marianist LIFE, Little Buddies, is on the Campus Ministry executive board, and is a member of the National Honor Society. He is very involved with service, including time with Matthew 25 Ministries, Urban Plunge, and Victory Day. He received the World Language Award is in the Spanish Honor Society, on the honor roll all four years of high school and has a 4.3 cumulative GPA.

Indiana Groskopf of West Chester will be playing football as a defensive end for the United States Coast Guard under Coach C.C. Grant. Indiana was a varsity starter and named player of the game twice. He is a Catino Scholar, National Honor Society scholar and tutor, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Community Outreach Manager, spirit captain, and Finance Club co-founder. Indiana is involved in theater and has a 4.68 cumulative GPA.

Thomas Metzger of Loveland is heading to Misericordia University to play volleyball as an outside hitter under Coach Nick Woolley. Thomas is a House Chaplain, Kairos leader, and has a 3.74 cumulative GPA.

Henry Ocariz of Liberty Township will sign to play rugby as a winger/15 at the University of Tennessee under Coach Scott Tungay. He was previously a Moeller wrestler and pole vaulter, who began playing rugby 7's his junior year. Henry is a Global Scholar, is in the National and Spanish Honor Societies, earned the Ohio Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish, serves at St. Francis de Sales with over 100 service hours, and has a 4.72 cumulative GPA.

Thomas Oliver of Oregonia will be playing soccer as a striker at Colby College under Coach Sean Elvert. In 2024, Thomas was named First Team GCL, First Team All-SW Ohio, First Team All-City, and "Stars to Watch for 2025". He has played club soccer for 11 years and his senior year was on Cincinnati United Premier's MLS Next Gold program, competing at the highest pre-professional high school level. Thomas is a Division I state semifinalist with Moeller, a NAL National Champion Boys 2008, and IMG MLS Next Tournament Champion Super Cup. He participated in Little Buddies, is a member of the Global Scholars program and the National Honor Society and has a 4.3 cumulative GPA.

Giovanni Ortiz Perez of Cincinnati is signing to play rugby at The Ohio State University.

Gael Ramirez of Cincinnati will be wrestling at Bellarmine University under Coach Ned Shuck. Gael was named First Team All-GCL, is a three-time sectional champion, a 2025 district champion and 2026 district runner-up. He is a two-time OHSAA Division 1 state placer, two-time team captain, and is 120-25 overall in his career. Gael participates with Little Buddies, received the All-Ohio Academic Award twice, and has a 4.0 cumulative GPA.

Aedan Sharp of Maineville is signing to play rugby for Coach Austin Morris at Bowling Green State University.

Simon Shine of Sycamore Township is heading to Bowling Green State University to play rugby for Coach Austin Morris as a center. Simon was named All-Ohio in 2025, is involved in community service, including a mission trip to Guatemala, has earned first and second honors, and has a 3.6 cumulative GPA.

Owen Speed of Amelia is signing to run cross country and track at Lenoir-Rhyne University under Coach Bob Braman. Owen was named All-Ohio twice, Academic All-Ohio twice, and placed 5th at the indoor track state meet. He has earned first honors, is a member of National Honor Society, is the Zehler House Captain, an Eagle Scout, team captain, a flying pig volunteer, and earned the Presidential Scholarship.

Noah Spivery of Cincinnati will be swimming at Bellarmine University under Coach Gord Veldman. Noah was named 2nd Team All-GCL, All-Ohio, is a sectional champion, a state qualifier, and received the Man of Moeller Award three times. He plays water polo and has a 3.5 cumulative GPA.

Tad Woolfe of Loveland is signing to play soccer as an attacking midfielder at Case Western Reserve University under Coach Carter Poe. Tad was named 2nd Team All-GCL, is a two-time champion in the
Puma Youth Championship League Singapore, MLS Next Homegrown Division, Cincinnati United Player of the Week, and Cincinnati Enquirer Athlete of the Week. He is a member of the National Honor Society, AP Scholar with Distinction, and has a 4.6 cumulative GPA. Tad is a Guatemala service program volunteer, is on the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society fundraising team, and Echo Club Initiative for Families in Need in South America.
