Box Score 3 It was a big day for Crusader Athletics last night with Lacrosse, Tennis, Baseball, and Volleyball all taking their respective playing fields.
Lacrosse:
The Fighting Crusaders again got off to a hot start vs. CHCA in the first period going up 5-3 and they never looked back. Great goalie play from both teams in the second period led to only 2 goals each and a score of 7-5 heading into the break. Five different Crusaders had at least one goal at this point in the game. Moeller came out of the break swinging going on a 6-0 run in the third period to put the Crusaders up 12-5 with just one quarter to go. Moeller Lacrosse went on a 9-1 scoring run in the second half against CHCA to give them a 15-6 win as they improve to 5-0 on the year!
The Crusader Lacrosse team is back in action as they hit the road to Indiana to take on Cathedral High School on April 10th at 2:00pm.
Tennis:
Tennis took on Elder at home with a set of three singles and two doubles. The Crusaders got off to a slow start dropping the first two single matches both 6-1. Luke W. '22 got the Crusaders on the board with a 6-2 win in the last single match of the day, Crusaders trailed 1-2 overall heading into the doubles matches. Joshua H. '23 and Zachary Z. '23 lit up the court in the first doubles match winning 6-1 to tie the match at 2 all with one match to play where John D. '23 and Steven W. '23 were able to secure the come from behind win with a 6-2 win in the final match and help the Crusaders improve to 2-0 on the year!
Varsity Tennis is back in action tonight taking on Walnut Hills at Walnut Hills High School.

The fighting Crusaders went to work early in their game vs. the Ryle Raiders, scoring three runs aided by Zach F. 21 who had 2 RBI's and 1 run scored on multiple hits including a huge triple in the fourth. Pitching for Moeller had another stellar night, led by starting pitcher Michael R. '21 allowing only 2 runs in his stint on the mound. The Crusaders were up 4-2, clinging on to a two run lead heading into the 7th inning. The Raiders were able to add one in the inning but again the Crusaders defense held on to give Moeller it's second win of the season 4-3 over Ryle!
The Crusaders Baseball team is back at it taking on Elder at home tonight, first pitch at 5:00pm.
Volleyball:
The Volleyball Crusaders has their first match of the season last night taking on Hamilton Badin. Behind key players JJ B. '21, Jack C. '21, Nate R. '22 and Matt R. '21, Moeller was able to secure the win in 4 sets, dropping only one to the Rams. The Crusaders took the first two sets handily by a score of 25-15 in both sets. The Rams fired back to take set 3 25-22 over the Crusaders, but Moeller bounced back and took set 4 25-18 to secure the 3-1 win over the Rams and improve to 1-0 on the year.
Volleyball is back in action next Tuesday, April 6th taking on Walnut Hills at home. First serve at 7:00pm!
