Coach Schmitt is in his seventh year coaching at Moeller and will assist all three levels with technology this season. He is a 2007 Moeller graduate and was a member of the baseball team in his time at Moeller. After graduating, he went on to be a student manager for the baseball team at Ohio State from 2007-2010. At Ohio State, he was a part of the Buckeyes 2009 Big Ten Championship team that included a few of his 2007 Moeller teammates.
Since graduation from Ohio State in 2012 with a master’s in education, Coach Schmitt taught at Villa Madonna Academy (KY) from 2012-2019. In those seven years, he coached various teams and served as the High School Athletic Director for five years from 2014-2019. He was also a varsity baseball assistant for four seasons from 2016-2019.
Coach Schmitt is in his seventh-year teaching back at Moeller as a Government teacher in the Social Studies Department and Director of Moeller’s Student Run Business. He also assists with the Yellmen. He, his wife, Carly, and daughter, Lydia, live in Cincinnati and are members of St. Mary’s Parish in Hyde Park.
