Brian Hastings

The 2026 season will be Brian Hastings 2nd season at Moeller. Coach Hastings attended Kearney High School (Kearney, MO) and played collegiately at Hutchinson Community College (Hutchinson, KS), then transferring to the University of Kentucky (Lexington, KY) for his final 2 years. Brian played catcher/infield during his college career while posting a .362 average at the plate. He was a member of the 2006 SEC Champion team at Kentucky and also hosted the Lexington, KY Regional, the 1st ever in program history.

Upon graduation, Brian served as the Graduate Assistant Coach at UK during the 2007 and 2008 seasons. In 2008, they reached the postseason earning a spot in the University of Michigan regional tournament (Ann Arbor, MI).  Brian got the privilege to work under several renowned SEC head coaches, John Cohen (AD / Auburn), Gary Henderson (HC / Utah) and Nick Mingione (HC / Kentucky).

Brian spent the summer of 2007 coaching in the Northwoods Summer Collegiate League in Brainerd, MN, managing the hitters / position players. During that summer, he coached future big leaguers Xavier Scruggs (STL), Andy Dirks (DET) and Erik Komatsu (STL). He also spent the following summer (2008) coaching in the Cape Cod collegiate summer league for the Falmouth Commodores. He got the pleasure to coach future major league players including, AJ Pollock (AZ), Darin Ruf (PHI) and Rob Segedin (LAD). He is beyond thrilled to be part of the Moeller Baseball Program and help continue to success of the program.

Brian currently resides in Montgomery with his wife Jess and four children Molly (10yrs), Bennett (8yrs), Collins (6yrs) and Winnie (4yrs). He is the CEO and Co-Founder of Veritas Logistics based in Cincinnati, OH and has a passion for teaching, coaching and training.
