Mike Sussli ‘75 - Varsity Assistant Coach    

Coach Mike Sussli, a 1975 Moeller graduate, brings plenty of experience to the Crusaders. He received his undergraduate degree from Xavier University in 1979 and his master’s in 1981. Sussli returned to his high school Alma mater for three years to teach and be an assistant basketball coach.

Coach “Suss” then followed an opportunity to be an assistant basketball coach for Xavier University. During his five-year tenure at XU, he was part of five consecutive NCAA appearances. After Xavier, Sussli decided to return to Moeller for the 1993–94 season and has been part of the coaching staff since then, including all five of Moeller’s State Championship wins.

Sussli is currently retired, but works part-time with Moeller’s Advancement Team, helping them with various projects as needed and volunteers his time at the Loveland Life Food Pantry.

He and his wife, Annette, reside in Loveland. They have two daughters, Kristin (Nate) Schmidlin and Katelyn (Ty) Martorano and two granddaughters, Emma and Natalie Schmidlin. Kristin and her family reside in Ft. Mill, SC, and Katelyn and her husband reside in Indianapolis.
