Freshman Baseball Game Notes — Archbishop McNicholas May 7, 2021

MOELLER 18 McNICHOLAS 4 (5 INNINGS)
It was a race against the rain to get this game completed. Kellan Klosterman made his high school debut on the mound today to start the game. He pitched 1 scoreless inning, striking out 1 batter and walking 1 batter. Luke Dietrich pitched the next 3 innings allowing 4 runs, 2 of which were earned on 5 hits, 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. Forrest Day closed the game in the 5th inning facing 4 batters with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts. The Crusaders came out smoking scoring 8 runs with 1 out in the top of the 1st inning. Cale Migal’s hot bat started the rally with a single. Kaden Snodgrass also singled and Ryan Land walked to load the bases. Will McCullough, whose bat also has caught fire singled to pick up his 1st of 2 rbis. Brock Wissel, JJ Miller, Ashton Winder, and Jordan Marshall all walked to collect rbis. This led to Cale Migal’s triple and 3 more rbis to round out the 8 run inning. Other hitting leaders on the day, were Kaden Snodgrass 2 for 2, Will McCullough 2 for 2 and 2 rbis, Brock Wissel 2 for 2 and 4 rbis. Other Crusaders collecting hits were, Alec Bashardoust, and Luke Dietrich. The Moeller Freshman record reaches 18-4 and 7-1 to lead the GCL.
