MOELLER  6   HIGHLANDS 1

The Moeller Freshman Crusaders got revenge on an early season loss to the Highland Bluebirds today behind the 6 inning pitching performance of Alec Bashardoust.  Bash was on his game today, shutting the Bluebirds out for 6 innings on only 1 hit, 2 walks and 6 strikeouts.  Drew Budd pitched the 7^th inning allowing 1 unearned run on 1 hit, 1 walk, and 1 strikeout.  Moeller scored 3 runs in the 3^rd inning which proved to be all they needed.  With 1 out, Jordan Marshall walked and stole 2^nd base.  A base hit by David Hagan scored Marshall.  Kaden Snodgrass walked as did Jacob Asbeck.  Hagan scored in a wild pitch and Snodgrass scampered home on a Brock Wissel base hit and rbi.  Moeller added some insurance runs in the bottom of the 6^th inning after Tanner Coe reached on an error, back to back hits by JJ Miller and Forrest Day who later scored on an error by the Highlands third baseman off Kaden Snodgrass’ bat.   The Moeller record goes to 14-4 and 6-1 to lead the GCL.
