MOELLER 15  LASALLE  6  (Non-League)

The Moeller Freshman hosted the LaSalle Lancers in a non-league game today at the Blue Ash Sports Complex.  Today, it was the Moeller offense that was the story.  The Crusaders overcame a 3-0 lead by LaSalle who posted 3 quick runs in the top of the 1^st inning.  And it did not take long.  With 1 out in the home half of the 1^st inning, Luke Dietrich singled, Kellan Klosterman reached on an error then Sam Scuglik singled home Dietrich and Alec Basherdoust singled home Klosterman and Scuglik to tie the score at 3.   Big Moe added 2 more in the 2^nd inning.  Dean Seeger walked, JJ Miller singled as did Luke Dietrich.  Seeger and Dietrich scored on a Sam Scuglik long fly ball.  Third inning saw Ashton Winder walk, Owen Boggess reached on an error, a Dean Seeger base hit and a rbi fielders choice from JJ Miller.  Moeller then exploded for 6 runs in the 4^th inning.  Klosterman led off with a walk followed by the 1sr of 2 doubles on the day by Sam Scuglik.  Bashardoust gathered his 2^nd hit of the day and 3^rd rbi.  Winder walks, Tyler Heflin reaches on an error, Tanner Coe walks to set up JJ Miller’s base hit and Brock Wissel’s hit to round out the inning.   Moeller scored it’s final run in the bottom of the 6^th inning when Tyler Heflin dropped a bomb on the left field wall for a double to leadoff the inning and advanced to third on a wild pitch.  He later scored on a rbi fielders choice from Cameron Gilreath.   The record for the GCL Champs goes to 21-4 and 8-1 atop the GCL.
