Freshman Baseball Game Notes — Turpin April 6, 2021

The Moeller Frosh fired up the offense in the first inning when David hagen singled scoring Jordan Marshall who led off the inning with a double over the rightfielder’s head. Big Moe did not stop there. In the second inning, with 1 out, Tanner Coe walked, Forrest Day singled and Jordan Marshall collected his 2nd hit in as many innings to drive Coe home.
David Hagen banged out his 2nd hit to score Day and Marshall to put the Crusaders up 4-0. The Frosh were not done. In the 3rd inning Day collected his 2nd hit, Cole Migal walked and Ethan Page doubled to send Day and Migal home to put the Crusaders on top for good at 6-0. Ryan Land started the game on the mound to pick up the win.
Land pitched 3 innings allowing 2 hits on 2 walks, and 3 strikeouts. David Hagen followed tossing 3.2 innings allowing 2 runs, 1 of which was earned with 3 hits 3 walks and 2 strikeouts. Ethan Page pitched the last third of an inning to close the game. The Moeller Freshman stands at 4-1 and 1-0 in the GCL.
