Freshman Baseball Game Notes — St. Xavier April 26, 2021

MOELLER 11 ST. XAVIER 3
The Moeller Freshman downed the St. Xavier Bombers at the Blue Ash Sports Complex by a score of 11-3. St. x scored first on 2 walks, a wild pitch and sac fly in the top of the 1st inning off starter Ryan Land. But the lead did not last long and Land pitched a stellar 6 innings to styme the Bombers on only 2 hits, 3 walks and 7 strikeouts. Drew Budd pitched the 7th inning allowing 1 run on 2 hits and 2 strikeouts. But it was the Crusader offense that set the tone banking out 10 hits. Jordan Marshall and Ethan Page led off the bottom of the 1st inning with walks and both moved up on a wild pitch. Marshall scored on Kayden Snodgrass’ ground out and Page on a Ryan Land base hit to send Moeller up 2-1, a lead they would not lose. Bottom of the 2nd inning saw a hit by Brock Wissel, walks by Forrest Day and Jordan Marshall. Ethan Page lined a single to left to score Wissel to load the bases. Snodgrass walked in Day. Land reached on an error to put the score at 6-2. The Big Moe added 3 more runs in the 4th inning. Page collected his 2nd hit and Snodgrass his 2nd walk to set up David Hagan’s rbi hit and Will McCullough’s sac fly that scored Ashton Winder. Other Crusaders banging out hits were Cale Migal, a double and single, Jordan Marshall, Will McCullough and Forrest Day each with base hits. The Moeller Freshman record now stands at 12-4 and 5-1 to lead the GCL.
