Freshman Baseball Game Notes — Covington Catholic (KY) April 22, 2021

COVINGTON CATHOLIC 6 MOELLER 3
The Moeller Freshman hosted the Colonels of Covington Catholic. Alec Bashardoust started the game for the Crusaders and pitched 5 innings allowing Cov Cath 2 earned runs on 4 hits, with 2 walks and 7 strikeouts. Bash left the game with a Moeller lead of 3-2. Moeller scored first in the 3rd inning when JJ Miller singled, Kaden Snodgrass reached on a fielder’s choice and both stole second and third base. Miller scored on Land’s fly ball to centerfield. Moe scored 2 more runs in the 4th inning. David Hagan led off with a single. With 1 out, Evan Scott singled to score Hagan and Luke Dietrich singled, Scott for Moeller’s third and final run. Unfortunately, the Moeller relief core could not hold Cov Cath and allowed 4 more runs for the 6-3 loss. The Moeller record is now 10-4 and 3-1 in the GCL.
