Freshman Baseball Game Notes — St. Xavier April 13, 2021

MOELLER 9 ST. XAVIER 4
The Moeller Freshman Crusaders completed the program sweep of the St. Xavier by downing the Bombers on their home field today by a score of 9-4. The visiting Crusaders sent 10 batters to the plate in the top of the 1st inning. Jordan Marshall and Ethan Page reached on errors by the X second baseman. David Hagen walked to load the bases to set up an RBI single by starting pitcher, Ryan Land to put the Crusaders up 1-0.
Kaden Snodgrass also singled to send Page to the plate. Will McCullough drove a sac fly ball to right field scoring Hagen. After Forrest Day walked to load the bases, Cale Migal drew a walk to send Land home to put Moeller up 4-0 before the Bombers could hit. Ryan Land held X at bay for 3.2 innings, shutting them out on 3 hits, 3 walks, and 6 strikeouts to pick up the win. The Moeller bats were not done.
They added 2 more runs in the 2nd inning, 1 run in the 6th inning and 2 in the 7th inning. Hitting leaders for Moeller today were Ryan Land and Kaden Snodgrass who each had 3 hits 1 of which was a double for Snodgrass. Jordan Marshall had 2 hits and Cale Migal 1 hit. Drew Budd followed Land to the mound and tossed 1 inning, Ethan Page 2 innings and Forrest Day the last .1 inning. The Moeller season record goes to 7-2 overall and 2-0 to lead the GCL.
