Freshman Baseball Game Notes — Springboro April 10, 2021

MOELLER 4 SPRINGBORO 1
In a rain shortened game, the Moeller Freshman beat the Springboro Panthers behind the 1 hit pitching of Alec Bashardoust 4-1 in 5 innings on Crosley Field at the Blue Ash Sports Complex. Alec struck out 7 batters while only walking 1 batter in 4.1 innings. Forrest Day pitched .1 inning and Ethan Page faced the last batter with bases loaded and was able to get him to pop up the Will McCullough at short to end the game and get the save.
The Crusaders scored in the bottom of the 1st inning when Jordan Marshall reached on an error, stole second base. David Hagen walked and Ryan Land singled to score Marshall. Kayden Snodgrass singled to send Hagen home to send the Crusaders up 2-0. In the home half of the 3rd inning, Hagen, Land, and Kayden Snodgrass all walked to load the bases to set up Sam Scuglik’s first of 2 hits to drive in Moeller’s 3rd run. In the bottom of the 4th inning Marshall walked, stole second, Page was hit by the pitch and both moved up on a wild pitch. Ryan Land sent a fly ball to left to score Marshall for the sac fly and RBI.
The Moeller Freshman stands at 4-0 in Scrimmages, 6-2 on the season and 1-0 in the GCL.
