Freshman Baseball Scrimmage Notes — Centerville March 22, 2021

MOELLER 10 CENTERVILLE 4 (SCRIMMAGE)
The Moeller Freshman traveled 45 minutes north to Schoolhouse Park in Centerville to take on the Centerville Elks in their 3rd scrimmage of the year. Today, it was the no-hit pitching of David Hagen that led the Crusaders to their 3rd scrimmage victory.
Hagen pitched the first 4 innings walking 2 and recording 9 strikeouts. Alec Bashardoust, Forrest Day, and Sam Scuglik each followed Hagen on the mound, pitching 1 inning each. Moeller got on the scoreboard early. In the top of the first inning, Jordan Marshall led off the game with a walk.
David Hagen was hit by the pitch followed by a laser hit over the leftfielder's head to the wall by Ryan Land for a double and 2 rbi's. Moeller added 5 more runs in the top of the third inning. Jordan Marshall led off the inning with a base hit. Will McCullough and David Hagen walked. Marshall scored when Land reached on an error.
Kayden Snodgrass singled to drive in McCullough and Hagen and then scored Moeller's 5th run of the inning on an error by the right fielder off the bat of Sam Scuglik to send the Crusaders to a 7-0 lead. Moeller added 3 more runs in the sixth inning. Walks by Kayden Snodgrass and Sam Scuglik set up a rbi single by Ashton Winder.
