Big Moe is now 2-0 in the GCL South!
Setting up a massive GCL South showdown against Elder!
FINAL SCORE:
MOELLER 45
LA SALLE 0
The Crusaders went on the road Friday night and dominated from start to finish.
Both sides of the football were rolling for Big Moe as they blanked the Lancers in Lancer Stadium.
Sophomore quarterback
Hunter Mclaughlin was excellent once again in his 2nd start of the season.
Mclaughlin finished his night going 14-18 for 240 yards and 3 touchdowns.
On the ground, it was the combination of
Phil Bailey and
Juice Glover-Brown leading the way for Big Moe.
Phil Bailey (8 carries 70 yards and a touchdown, 8.8avg) and Juice (10 carries for 41 yards and a touchdown, 4.1avg).
8 different Crusaders caught a pass against the Lancers including a 60 yard TD to
David Boehm and a 54 yard TD to
Jayden Davis.
The Moeller offense continues to find new ways to be explosive and that showed up Friday night.
On the other side of the ball Big Moe controlled this football game at the line of scrimmage.
The Lancers totaled just 28 yards on the ground, averaging just 1.3 yards per carry vs a stout Moeller front.
La Salle had only 72 yards of total offense against the Crusaders, just a 2.2 average yard per play.
The leader for the Big Moe defense was the entire HAVOC MOB, 19 Crusaders recorded a tackle.
We will need that same intensity against the Elder Panthers next Friday night at Welcome Stadium.
Moeller (4-2), (2-0) battles Elder (5-1), (1-1) on Friday, October 2 for the GCL South title.
