The Crusaders storm back from 5-3 down in the 6th to knock off Ryle at Kremchek Stadium.
Starting pitcher
David Hagen (WVU commit) was excellent to start the ball game for Big Moe.
Hagen finished with 8 strikeouts in 4 innings of action, giving up zero runs.
Moeller entered the 5th inning with a 3-0 lead thanks to a 2 run shot by senior outfielder
Will McCullough
McCullough's home run in the 3rd inning is the first HOMER of the season for the #1 ranked Crusaders.
However, the Crusaders gave up 5 runs in the 5th and found themselves down 2 with just 6 outs remaining.
Sophomore 3rd baseman Connor Cuozzo saved the day in the bottom of the 6th with a base clearing double to tie things up.
Will Schirmer would score later in the inning after coming in as a pinch run for Cuozzo, scoring the winning run.
The Crusaders would go on to win 6-5 as junior
Connor Fuhrer slammed the door shut in the 7th inning.
Moeller starts the season (2-0) and will be back in action Wednesday, March 27 vs. Elder.
Big Moe travels to Xavier University's Hayden Field for the first GCL South showdown of the season.
