Moeller improves to (19-1) this season after a very close contest last night at Mason. 

The Crusaders got out to a slow start in the first half but were able to find their footing in the third quarter. 

Big Moe outscored Mason 11-4 in the third period on their way to a 4 point road victory. 

Leading the way for the Crusaders once again was junior forward Alex Kazanecki. 

Kazanecki finished with a game high 14 points, 2-3 from three, and 2 steals. 

Senior Eric Mahaffey was also excellent last night for the Crusaders adding 11 points and 3 steals. 

However, It was a total team effort to hold off the late Mason Comet push in 4th quarter. 

Once again defense and rebounding were the two major keys as to why the Crusaders were able to escape victorious. 

The Crusaders won the battle on the back boards 28-23 and played some fantastic defense down the stretch. 

Mason had 3-4 opportunities to tie or take the lead in the final minutes, but the Moeller defense held strong. 

The Crusaders have now won 10 straight games heading into Friday night's matchup with St. X.
