Moeller remains unbeaten in the GCL South after knocking off Elder at The Pit. 

With the win, the Crusaders stretch their conference lead to 2 games and clinch at the very least a share of the GCL South Championship.

The Crusaders next GCL South matchup will be at HOME on Friday, February 9 vs. St. Xavier. 

Moeller at Elder Game Highlights: 

Big Moe was lead in the scoring department once again by forwards Alex Kazanecki and Eric Mahaffey. 

Kazanecki was the leading scorer for the Crusaders finishing with 13 pts, 6 reb, 2 stl, and 2 blks. 

Senior Eric Mahaffey was excellent as well adding 10 points and 7 rebounds to go along with his 2 steals. 

On defense, it was once again a total team effort lead by senior Kyle Havens adding 2 more steals to his season total. 

Moeller held Elder to just 5 total points in the 4th quarter on their way to an impressive 16 point victory. 

The Crusaders are outscoring Elder 34-5 in the the two 4th quarters they've played this season. 

Defense continues to be the staple that this basketball team leans on to win big games, especially on the road. 

Look for that to continue heading into the closing stretch of the 2023-24 season.
