#1 Moeller vs. #2 St. Edward Football Saturday Recap!
#1 Moeller played host to #2 St. Edward on Saturday, October 19 at West Clermont Stadium.
The Crusaders pulled out a 35-30 victory over the Eagles after trailing by only 3 at halftime.
This is just the second time ever Moeller has beaten St. Ignatius and St. Edward in the same season (2021).
With the win, Big Moe jumps to (8-1) this year with just one regular season game remaining.
Next, the Crusaders head to Muskegon, MI on Friday, October 25 to wrap up their year.

On offense, the Crusaders were led by a great balance of run and pass.
Junior QB
Matt Ponatoski finished 17-24 for 191 yards and 5 touchdown passes.
Ponatoski was able to find his big tight end Cooper McCutchen for 3 of his 5 touchdowns.
Running backs
Greylo Coach and
Tyler Josleyn were outstanding combining for over 130 yards rushing.
Coach was explosive on the ground for the Crusaders averaging 7.5 yards per carry.
Moeller for the most part did what they wanted on offense scoring 35 points on a tough Eagles defense.
On the other side of the ball, Big Moe showed up when it counted most late in the game.
Senior defensive back
Lincoln Murphy was the player of the game with two huge interceptions.
The Crusaders were led in tackles by junior linebacker
Connor Cuozzo with 9 total, 7 solo.
It was a complete defensive effort to pull out this win, multiple Crusaders recorded tackles in key spots.
Clutch defensive stops late in the game propelled Moeller to this big win on Saturday.
