The Crusaders put together one of their best performances of the 2023 campaign last Friday night vs. Center Grove. 

Senior running back #24 Jordan Marshall finished with 160 yards rushing on 35 carries and 3 touchdowns.

Sophomore quarterback #7 Matt Ponatoski also shined in this matchup, finishing 19-28 for 251 yards and a touchdown pass to #14 Roman Mason. 

Moeller got out to an awesome start vs. Center Grove as the offense was able to find the end zone on their first two possessions. 

The defense also showed up ready to play, holding the Trojans to just 13 first half points. The Crusaders went into the locker room leading 21-13 at halftime. 

Center Grove was able to pull within 1 point early in the 2nd half after another long touchdown drive capped off with a Tyler Cherry touchdown run. 

Moeller would not score again until late in the 4th quarter. Isaac Shade scored from 38 yards out to give the Crusaders a 28-20 lead with 4 minutes remaining. 

However, this proved to be too much time for the Trojans, as they drove right down the field to tie it at the end of regulation. 

The Trojans went on to win by 1 in OT after a failed Crusader two point conversion that would have won the game. 

The Crusaders fall to (1-3) this season with the heart of the 2023 schedule coming up. GCL South play is up NEXT!
