The Moeller Crusaders squared off against fellow GCL foe, the Elder Panthers, on Tuesday night. Moeller (3-0-1) was able to come away with a very decisive 3-0 victory. That's now 3 wins in a row for the Crusaders as they try to keep the train rolling this weekend.
The Crusader offense was on the attack all night long constantly putting pressure on the Panthers defense. Moeller did a great job of spreading the love, as 3 different Crusaders were able to score. The scoring started early in the 10
th minute when Junior
Ryan Gramza was able to put one through, making it 1-0, early in the 1st half.
In the 2
nd half Seniors
Logan Peters and
Casey Welage scored back-to-back in the 60
th and 63
rd minute to push the Crusader lead to 3-0. The Crusader offense ended up taking 14 shots, 5 of which were on goal as the Panther defense proved to be no match for the firepower of Moeller.Â
The Crusader defense led by Sophomore goalkeeper
Devin Orr's 4 saves was tough to crack for the Panther offense. Elder seemed to struggle offensively most of the night as Moeller was able to cruise to another huge win.
The Crusaders travel to St. Charles Preparatory School in Columbus this coming Saturday to take on the Cardinals who are (4-3-1) on the season. Moeller looks to keep this momentum going and push that win streak to 4 games.
Other scores from Tuesday night include:
JV Gold vs Elder 1-0
JV Navy vs Landmark Christian 8-2
