Box Score The Crusaders were able keep the early season momentum rolling on Friday night with a resounding victory over a tough East Central squad. Both schools came into this showdown boasting a (2-0) record looking to build on the success they've already had this season.
After a pick six to start the game, Moeller quarterback #12
Noah Geselbracht was able to settle into a rhythm as the Crusader offense started to roll. Geselbracht after the interception went on an absolute tear going 23-30 for 263 yards and 3 touchdowns. The offensive line played big role all night as they were able to keep Geselbracht up right against a very stingy Trojan defense. East Central had a difficult time keeping up with all the Crusader receivers, especially #10
Tennel Bryant who seemed like he was open all night long. Bryant caught 10 balls for 80 yards and 2 touchdowns as no one was able to cover the Moeller speedster. #19
Jared Merk also recorded a very impressive game with 7 catches for 88 yards and a touchdown. If the Crusaders can keep this potent passing attack going to go along with their balanced running game, more wins will follow.
Moeller now (3-0) looks to turn this early season success into a trend for the rest of the season. The Crusaders travel to Ironton, OH this coming Friday night to take on another (3-0) team in the Ironton Fighting Tigers. This one is shaping up to be another physical battle in the trenches, so the Crusaders better come ready to play on Friday night.
It would be huge for this team to head into a rough 5 game stretch that features three GCL opponents (4-0). The last time the Crusaders started a season (4-0) was the 2014-2015 season and that team finished the season 10-4.
