Box Score 2 The Moeller Lacrosse team kicked off their season with bang this weekend having back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday vs. Loveland and Olentangy Liberty. The Crusaders managed to hold off both teams to start off the season 2-0.
vs. Loveland: The Crusaders offense was led by TJ R. '21, Joe G. '23, Lane M. '21 all with two goals a piece. 5 more Crusaders were able to tack on goals including Zach W. '22 who also had three assists on the day. The fast paced, high scoring Crusader offense along with the stone-wall defense lead by goalie Ian E. '22 with three saves proved to be too much for Loveland as the Crusaders took an 11-2 win on Friday night.
vs. Olentangy Liberty: With a final score of 7-5, this game was a defensive battle between the Crusaders and the Patriots. Joe G. '23 had to goals on two shots, Lane M. '21, TJ R. '21, Griffin C. '21, Brendan G. '21 and Danny D. '21 all had one goal a piece totaling up 7 for the Crusaders offense. The highlight of the game was Ian E. '22 in the goal. The Junior had 15 saves for the Crusaders, allowing only 5 goals for Liberty to help lift the Crusaders to a 7-5 victory over Liberty and keep the undefeated record alive.
