OHSAA Swimming District Recap & State Championship Preview

OHSAA District Swimming Results:

District swimming has wrapped up at Miami. We had many great swims and cut a lot of time from sectionals. Now comes the waiting game for state berths as two districts are still swimming. See our district finishes below. 50 free-Kevin Thibodeaux (13th) 100 free-Drew Held (12th)

200 free-Drew Held (15th) 500 free-Jack Grandy (11th), Noah Cunningham-O'Donnell (19th) 100 back-Jack Garboden (22nd) 100 breast-Kevin Thibodeaux (11th), Jack Grandy (13th), Noah Cunningham-O'Donnell (23rd), Alex Koetter (24th) 100 fly-Jack Garboden (17th), Mitch Garboden (31st)
200 IM-Alex Koetter (15th) 200 free relay-8th-Jack Garboden, Jake Wiley, Noah Cunningham-O'Donnell, Alex Koetter 200 Medley Relay-12th-Drew Held, Jack Grandy, Mitch Garboden, Kevin Thibodeaux 400 free relay-9th-Jack Garboden, Drew Held, Jack Grandy, Kevin Thibodeaux
The 200 free relay of Jack Garboden, Noah Cunningham-O'Donnell, Jake Wiley and Alex Koetter make podium with an 8th place finish. They started the day as the 13th seed.

OHSAA State Championship Qualifiers:

Jack Grandy (jr)-qualified 17th in the 500 freestyle Kevin Thibodeaux (sr)-qualified 23rd in the 100 breaststroke 400 freestyle relay-qualified 24th. This relay consists of Jack Garboden (sr), Drew Held (so), Jack Grandy (sr) and Kevin Thibodeaux (sr)
These swimmers will swim in the state prelims on Friday morning in Canton, OH. The top 16 in each event advance to Saturday night's finals.
